While Vista was formed in 2007, our key personnel have all worked together for many years. Our Senior Management team has a combined 60+ years experience in the stop loss industry and a record of profitability and success. We also individually have experience in the legal field, public accounting and in management positions for carriers and reinsurers. Our Management team consists of:

Nicholas C. Milligan, Esq. Nick is a co-founder of Vista Underwriting Partners and serves as its President. Prior to forming Vista, Nick spent eleven years working for a large Stop Loss MGU serving as its Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. In his role as COO, Nick was responsible for overseeing all of the day to day operations of the company. He was instrumental in assisting in growing the company from $20 MM in premium to $120 MM of premium over a ten year period, while consistently generating an underwriting profit. At Vista, Nick’s responsibilities include executive management, sales production, claims oversight, and legal issues.

Dean W. O’Toole, CPA. Dean is the other co-founder of Vista Underwriting Partners and serves as its Vice President. Prior to forming Vista, Dean spent eleven years working for a large Stop Loss MGU, serving as its Chief Financial Officer. In Dean’s role as CFO, he was responsible for Premium Accounting, Reinsurance Reporting, Financial Analysis & Forecasting, and Information Technology. Dean was also instrumental in assisting in growing the company from $20 MM in premium to $120 MM of premium over a ten year period, while consistently generating an underwriting profit. At Vista, Dean’s responsibilities include executive management, sales production, information technology, and all accounting functions of the company.

Lynn R. Harman. Lynn is Vista’s Vice President of Underwriting. Lynn brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge in all aspects of medical stop loss insurance. Lynn has experience working in senior positions at Insurance Carriers, and MGUs. Prior to joining Vista, Lynn was responsible for overseeing a staff of underwriters that managed a book of stop loss premium that was in excess of $100 MM. She has a proven track record of underwriting profitability for the companies that she has worked for. Lynn is one of the most well regarded underwriters in the industry. At Vista, Lynn manages a team of experienced underwriters and is involved in all aspects of the underwriting and management process.

Linda Pfeifer. Linda is a Senior Underwriter for Vista Underwriting Partners. Linda has broad experience in self-funding and has held senior positions at some of the most well regarded underwriting companies in the industry. While working in the past with the founders of Vista, Linda was responsible for managing a profitable book of stop loss business that was in excess of $50 MM of premium. She has more than twenty years experience in underwriting stop loss business.
